The latest 2018 meeting dates for our District Groups, AGMs and Events. 

Countryside Forum - Fridays

The meeting dates are 26th January, 16th March, 22nd June, 21st September and 7th December. The venue is booked closer to the date when we have confirmed the guest speaker.

Trustees Committee Meetings - Fridays
9th March (2nd March postponed due to weather), 25th May, 7th September and 14th December
Annual Branch AGM
17th November 2018, Cerne Abbas Village Hall, 11am. Our guest speaker is Tom Fyans, Director of campaigns and policy at CPRE. Tom joined CPRE three years ago, he has strategic oversight of CPRE's advocacy and policy functions. Prior to joining CPRE, he was head of campaigns at ActionAid UK, and is also the former head of campaigns at Amnesty International UK. Please see below a copy of the booking form that was posted with the autumn edition of The Dorset Review to members in October. Guests very welcome.
House Tour and Garden
5th July, Forde Abbey, Chard, Somerset, TA20 4LU, meet at 10.45 am.  

Induction Day at CPRE National Office for new volunteers

Three times a year. 2019 dates are Tuesday 12th February, Tuesday 21st May and Tuesday 8th October.
The Sherborne and District Society
AGM: Friday 9th March. 7.30 start in the Rayleigh Hall, Digby Road, Sherborne. 
The speaker is a member of the committee. Roger White is an eminent Architectural Historian who specialises in the Georgian period and is a past Secretary of the Georgian Group. He has recently had published a book on Cottages Ornés (The Charms of a Simple Life) and it is on this topic that he will speak.
Sherborne Castle Country Fair 28th May
Please come and visit the Sherborne and District Society stand and chat with our volunteers.
Farm Visit 30th May
We are very pleased that Neville and Sue Loder have agreed to host a visit to The Dairy Farm at Oborne (DT9 4LB).They were awarded the Farmers’ Weekly ‘Dairy Farm of the Year’ title in 2017. This is very much a working dairy farm and it is good of Neville and Sue to fit us into their busy schedule. Booking form will be sent to members with the Spring Review magazine - due out second week of May.
Society Dinner 
2nd November – Dinner at Sherborne GolF Club 7.30pm. Guest Speaker Edward Fox.
Committee Meetings: Meetings all in the Raleigh Hall, Digby Road, Sherborne at 4.00 – 6.00 pm first Tuesday every other month from Feb:
6th Feb, 3rd April, 5th June, 7th Aug, 2nd Oct and 4th December.
North Dorset Group
AGM: Wednesday 28th March, 5 pm at Clayesmore School.
Spring Party: 4th April, The Manor, Fifehead Neville, through the courtesy of Nicholas van Eek.
Summer Party: Thursday 6th September, from 6pm, The Manor, Winterborne Tomson, Blandford, DT11 9HA, through the courtesy of Mr and Mrs Rupert Hardy.
Planning Monitoring Group, first meeting on the 3rd September. 

Purbeck & Poole Group
Committee Meetings: Methodist Church, North Street, Wareham. 22nd January, 26th February, 11th June, 24th September & 26th November.
AGM: Monday 15th October, The Wareham Corn Exchange (North Street, Wareham) at 7:00 pm. Guest speaker Jessica Sutcliffe has kindly agreed to give us an outline of the work and ambitions of The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, buildings that often occur in rural areas as well as in towns like Poole with significant historical roots.

West Dorset Group
AGM: Saturday 17th March, 11.45 am tea/coffee for 12 noon start, at Charlton Down Village Hall. Guest Speaker: Penny Mills, Branch Director, CPRE Devon.
