Our local groups need volunteers

If you have a specific area of interest with CPRE issues, please do let your Group Committee know.  We are very short of volunteers to help on housing, planning and transport.

All volunteers would be welcome, but especailly from the countryside part of East Dorset. The need we have in Christchurch and East Dorset District for a stonger and more powerful voice is growing. There has neve been a greater need to re-establish this group.

Being part of a team, developing skills, and knowing that you're helping a great cause – these are just three brilliant reasons to volunteer.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers helping Dorset CPRE achieve its charitable objective: “to improve, protect and preserve for the benefit of the public, the countryside and the towns and rural villages of the County of Dorset' making them better places to live, work and enjoy, and to ensure the countryside is protected for now and future generations. We could not do what it does without these volunteers: they are our lifeblood. Volunteers bring us a wide variety of skills and time, from being Chairmen of our district groups to leading on a variety of topics. It is thanks to volunteers that we can do what we achieve…

We always need more help!

Why volunteer?

We don’t have a typical volunteer - but every person who volunteers for us does have one thing in common: they’re absolutely vital to our work! CPRE appreciates any time our volunteers can give and that’s why at CPRE we offer a wide variety of exciting and flexible opportunities to suit your interests, skills and experience.
Here are some good reasons to volunteer for CPRE:

  • Meet like-minded people and make new friends;
  • Learn new skills – or develop current ones;
  • Play an important part in the protection of your area;
  • Know that your support is making a fantastic contribution to the English countryside and the environment.
