2022 Meeting dates Countryside Forum, Planning Group, Trustees, District Group and events

 
The Dorset CPRE is run from a home office. We are currently holding Countryside Forum & Trustees Meetings using Zoom. Our local groups are also holding committee meeting using Zoom where possible. Please email or phone as normal if you have queries. Thank you for your support.

Monthly Planning Group Meetings 2022

We discuss the Dorset Council and BCP Local Plans and planning related matters. Open to members. Next meeting is on Wednesday 31st August 2022, 10 - 11.30 am. Annual Branch AGM 19th November 2022, at 11am, Cerne Abbas Village Hall. Guest speaker for our 2021 AGM was, Crispin Truman OBE, CEO at CPRE. AGM Minutes 2021 draft.
 
Summer Garden Party, held on 29th June 2022. Thank you to our Members and their Guest who joined us on the day making it a very special event.
 

2022 Induction Day with National CPRE for new volunteers (currently online)

The Sherborne and District Society
 
2022 Committee Meetings: Meetings via Zoom or at Raleigh Hall, Digby Road, Sherborne, 4.00 – 6.00 pm. First Tuesday every other month starting in February.
 
AGM: TBC
 
Farm visit: Michael Tizzard’s large dairy farm at Lillington on Thursday 22nd September 2022 at 2.30 pm. Mr Tizzard is one of Dorset’s larger scale milk producers. Prior booking is required. 
 
North Dorset Group
Committee Meetings: Monday 7th February 2022, 6.30pm, at Winterborne Tomson.
 
Milton Abbas Street Fair: Held every 2 years end of July. We hope to have a stand at the fair again in July 2022.
 

AGM: 5.30pm on Thursday 31st March 2022 at Clayesmore School. Guest Speaker was Richard Burden, Principal Landscape and Planning Officer, Cranborne Chase AONB, and gave a talk on 'The Role of the Cranborne Chase AONB and How Best to Protect It'.

Oak Fair, Stock Gaylard  27th and 28th August 2022
We had a stand at the 2021 fair which has a conservation and country activities bias for those who have not been before. Stock Gaylard Estate is a small traditional country estate just over 4 miles from Sturminster Newton and 8 miles from Sherborne.
 
Martin Green's Museum/Tour of Prehistoric Sites 14th June 2022 at 2:30 pm.

Committee Meetings:  Meetings normally take place in February, March, June, Septemer and November.

We had a stand at Earth Day Event, The Great Field, Poundbury on the 23rd of April 2022. Organised by Dorchester Town Council.
