89th AGM 21st Nov & talk by Roger Mortlock, CPRE CEO
We look forward to returning to Cerne Abbas Village Hall, on Saturday 21st November, 11 am start, for our 89th AGM. Please read the draft Minutes for the 2025 AGM. Our President, Kate Adie, is chairing the meeting.

We will start the meeting with Roger Mortlock, CPRE’s Chief Executive, taking us through the organisation’s first 100 years, from its pioneering beginnings in 1926 to the present day. Find out how and why CPRE started, and celebrate what the organisation has achieved for the countryside.
Background information
Roger Mortlock, joined National CPRE as Chief Executive in May 2023 and is responsible for the overall running of the organisation. He joined following 10 years as Chief Executive of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, and leadership roles at the Soil Association and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is passionate about a more sustainable future for rural England and CPRE’s role in finding solutions which make the best use of our land and safeguard our countryside.
Happiest on two wheels or on foot in the countryside, Roger lives in the Stroud Valleys in Gloucestershire. He has held non-executive roles with the Bat Conservation Trust and the Soil Association Land Trust and is currently a trustee with the Summerfield Charitable Trust.
A warm invitation to the Talk and AGM is extended to members and non-members alike, and we will be serving tea/coffee afterwards.
Annual General Meetings are generally about looking back, but as well as reviewing 2026 we will be looking forward to 2027. Do come, meet some of your fellow members, and see what we are up to.
We would be most grateful though if you can confirm your attendance by registering our online event booking system or send names of attendees to Linda Williams at info@dorset-cpre.org.uk.
We look forward to welcoming you and catching up with you then.
