Volunteering

David Peacock and Rupert Hardy Dorset CPRE Awards November 2022

We couldn’t do what we do without the support of our amazing volunteers. If you have a specific area of interest with CPRE issues, please do let your Group Committee know.

All volunteers would be welcome, but especially from East Dorset. The need we have in Christchurch and the East Dorset area for a stronger and more powerful voice is growing. There has never been a greater need to re-establish this group.

Being part of a team, developing skills, and knowing that you’re helping a great cause – these are just three brilliant reasons to volunteer.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers, who are members, helping Dorset CPRE achieve its charitable objective: “to improve, protect and preserve for the benefit of the public, the countryside and the towns and rural villages of the County of Dorset” making them better places to live, work and enjoy, and to ensure the countryside is protected for now and future generations. Volunteers bring us a wide variety of skills and time, from being Chairmen of our district groups, leading on a variety of topics, articles for our magazine, and assisting with responses to local and national consultations.

We always need more help!

Why volunteer?

Here are some good reasons to volunteer for CPRE:

  • Meet like-minded people and make new friends
  • Learn new skills – or develop current ones
  • Play an important part in the protection of your area
  • Know that your support is making a fantastic contribution to the English countryside and the environment
